IoT/OT-specific SOAR playbooks: Sample playbooks enable automated actions to swiftly remediate IoT/OT threats.Deep integration with Azure Defender for IoT: Azure Sentinel provides rich contextual information about specialized OT devices and behaviors detected by Azure Defender-enabling your SOC teams to correlate and detect modern kill-chains that move laterally across IT/OT boundaries. It also provides built-in IoT/OT security capabilities, including: As a SaaS-based solution, Azure Sentinel delivers reduced complexity, built-in scalability, lower total cost of ownership (TCO), and continuous threat intelligence and software updates. To enable rapid detection and response for attacks that cross IT/OT boundaries, Azure Defender is deeply integrated with Azure Sentinel- Microsoft’s cloud-native SIEM/SOAR platform. Annihilation is another one that was fun because its so surreal, like an actual mimic. Thanks to Defender for IoT Senior Program Manager) and (Azure Defender for IoT Global Black Belt) for the brainstorming, contributing, reviewing and proof reading! Xenomorphs are also cool because they kinda take on some of the appearance of the host, explaining the rubber suit look. Arrival is another good one, even if they definitely designed them with recognizable anatomy silhouettes in mind. I think The Thing as an alien works because it doesn't really have a "true form". I hate overthinking shit, but they could have made them more alien. Sometimes they look like they're on 4 legs as well, because its something we can recognize. They came from an asteroid but have features that parallel Earth evolution? The video does go into that backtrack in the design, but its more distracting and cartoony to me. The face is like an earth predator, with 2 front facing eyes and a jaw with sharp teeth. They're cool with the tentacles and all, but they still follow earth logic with some of their anatomy. She has to react and adapt and in the end trurst her own skill and abilities. But she doesn't get all the info like Cage does. She needs that prior knowledge to fight them, otherwise she is about as dead as any other soldier (the mimics are unnatural). And it can only work in Edge of Tomorrow.Īnd of course, I must end this thread talking the absolutely mad woman Rita Vrataski. Really an amazing design and my favorite adversary in any movie. They are like the xenomorph plus the sentinel from the Matrix. And the way and the speed with which they move just makes them scary as hell. The design of the mimics tried to be very alien. Imagine if at the end of Avengers the army that came through that portal was an army of mimics? gg Earth. You can't really transport the mimics to any other film because otherwise it would be game over for the heroes. Indeed, Rita Vrataski squad which seems to be the elite of the elite is quickly decimated by a single one of them. A threat that no one can really deal with. Main point is, when you have a film with the structure of Edge of Tomorrow, you need an enemy that justifies the idea that the only way to defeat this enemy is by "save scumming". Then I came across this video that says a lot of the stuff that I believe, so allow me to share it with you. I've thought about creating a thread here to talk about how the mimics from Edge of Tomorrow are such brilliant creatures and antagonists, but I never did (I think).
